FALCONER – A portion of the village of Falconer was without Power on Wednesday morning after an electric transformer failed at the corner of Dow and Allen streets on Wednesday.
According to the Jamestown Board of Public Utilities, failure took place around 9:45 a.m. when a a truck hit a BPU utility pole anchor, breaking the pole and shorting the lines. Several industrial and commercial locations in Falconer were affected.
Electricity to S. Dow Street customers was restored in about an hour. All remaining customers were back in power by 11:30 a.m.
