Sound Medicine

About the Show

Sound Medicine is produced by the Indiana University School of Medicine and WFYI Public Radio. Join Host Barbara Lewis for Sound Medicine, public radio’s weekly magazine about medicine and health.

Every week, Sound Medicine explores topics from cancer research to sports medicine to medical ethics with experts from around the U.S. The program features in-studio interviews, field reports from independent reporters around the world, first person essays on the art and science of medicine, and quirky observations about health and medicine that you won’t hear anywhere else.

Sound Medicine educates and encourages listeners to make sound health decisions and is a forum for health issues that affect communities and families across the country. It is made possible through grants from Indiana University, the IU School of Medicine and Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.
