MAYVILLE – Chautauqua County legislator Paul “PJ” Wendel will remain the chairman of the County Legislature for another year.
On Wednesday the legislature held its annual organization meeting and unanimously voted to make Wendel, a Republican from Lakewood, its chairman once again. Fifteen of the 19 legislators were present for the vote.
According to the Post-Journal, Wendel said one of the main issues the legislature will continue to address in 2019 is the health of Chautauqua Lake. Another focus will be to bring back a commuter airline to the Chautauqua County-Jamestown Airport.
