Democratic Candidate for Congress Opens Campaign Office in Jamestown

May 3, 2012 By WRFA Radio 1 Comment

Democrat Leslie Danks Burke of Tompkins County was in Jamestown Wednesday Tuesday to open her new campaign office on Third Street. Danks Burke is also seeking the Democratic nomination for the US House of Representatives as the representative for the 23rd district against Tom Reed (R-Corning).

More information on the campaign can be found at www.lesliefornewyork.com or www.facebook.com/lesliefornewyork. The new campaign office is located at 17 E. Third St., Jamestown.

She is running against fellow democrats Nate Shinagawa (D-Ithaca) and fellow democrat Melissa Dobson (D-Corning) for the Democratic Party endorsement, with a primary taking place on June 26. The winner will square off against Reed in the Nov. 6 general election.
