JAMESTOWN – Big Time Players announce auditions for the musical RENT at The Spire Theater Tuesday Night, March 11 at 7:30 p.m. A wide range of performers and backstage crew are needed for this production. People of all shapes, sizes, and colors are encouraged to audition. A song representing your vocal range should be prepared.
Rent is a rock musical with music and lyrics by Jonathan Larson based on Giacomo Puccini’s opera La bohème. It tells the story of a group of impoverished young artists and musicians struggling to survive and create in New York City’s lower east side in the thriving days of Bohemian Alphabet City, under the shadow of HIV/AIDS. The production will run weekends May 9-17.
