Falconer Man Sentenced to 20 Years in Prison for Child Sexual Assault

MAYVILLE – A Falconer man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for multiple counts of sexually assaulting a child. with 20 years of post-release supervision.

District Attorney David Foley says 29 year-old Brandon Byard was sentenced Monday in county court after pleading guilty to three counts of first-degree criminal sex act – a class B felony. He was facing an 18-count indictment. The charges stem from a series of incidents that involved Byard and up to three  minors between 2011 and 2013 in Ellicott and Jamestown.

Following his release from Prison, Byard will have to register as a sex offender. He will also have 20 years of post-release supervision.
