Investigation Results in Arrest of Two More Heroin Dealers

June 11, 2014 By WRFA Radio 1 Comment

JAMESTOWN – Two more people have been arrested on drug charges as local police continue to crackdown on the growing problem of heroin in the community.

According to the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force, the arrest of 51 year-old Jose Diaz-Solis and 45 year-old Julio Melendez came following a multi-agency investigation into the illegal sale and distribution of heroin and other drugs. Both men were charged with two counts each of third-degree criminal sale and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

On Tuesday morning authorities raided four apartments, including the lower apartment of a house at 6 Winsor St.  Agents allegedly found drugs inside, drug packaging equipment and a quantity of cash.

Assisting in the investigation were the Jamestown Police Department, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and NY State Police.
