JAMESTOWN – Jamestown Public School officials are reminding the public that today is the day for voter registration in the district. In order to be entitled to vote, residents in the district must present themselves personally for registration before the District Clerk, with proper identification and proof of residency at the Administration Building on May 1 between 12:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. The budget vote, along with the school board election, will take place on May 15 from noon until 9 p.m. Polling Places will be located at three Jamestown Public Schools: Jefferson, Lincoln and Washington. The 2012-2013 spending plan can be reviewed at the Board of Education Administration Building at 197 Martin Rd. in Jamestown. A public hearing on the budget will take place on Tuesday, May 8 at 7 p.m. in the Persell Middle School auditorium.
