BUSTI – More than 50 police officers and investigators were in the Town of Busti Tuesday in a search connected to a missing area woman who hasn’t been seen in nearly eight years.

According to the Jamestown Post-Journal, new information regarding the disappearance of Corrie Anderson led to law enforcement spending eight hours searching areas of Kortwright Road in Busti on Tuesday. However, the search reportedly turned up no findings or information that could provide clues to her disappearance and investigators do not plan to resume the search on Wednesday.

Anderson was last seen on Oct. 28, 2008, leaving the Lake County Dodge car dealership on Washington Street in Jamestown. Her van was found two days later on a trail off of Kortwright Road, not far from her home on Wellman Road. An intensive investigation and search in 2008 turned up no further information into her whereabouts.

Tuesday’s search was led by New York State Police with assistance from various local police agencies.

Anyone who may have information into Corrie Anderson’s disappearance is asked to call New York State Police at 716-665-3113.
