FRENCH CREEK – A 62 year old Clymer resident was sent to the hospital over the weekend after being involved in an ATV accident in French Creek. Chautauqua County Sheriff Deputies say Ben Whitney of Mann Rd., Clymer was operating an ATV on Mann Rd. early Saturday evening. Deputies say he appeared to have made a sharp turn across the roadway and the vehicle rolled over. This ejected him upon the roadway. A passing motorist came across Whitney laying in the middle of the road and called for help. Whitney was reportedly not wearing a helmit at the time and sustained serious injuries to his head and was transported by ambulance to Erie’s Hamot Hospital. He is now listed in stable condition. The investigation is continuing.
