JAMESTOWN – The Jamestown Police Department is asking the public for help in identifying a suspicious man who was allegedly approaching children on the south side of town.
Police say the subject – described as a white male in his 40s or 50s – was reportedly approaching students who were walking to school and asking them if they need a ride. He is described as being thin with thick-frame glasses and balding with a comb-over. The subject was reportedly operating a tan-colored pickup truck with stripes down both sides and a brown cap on the back.
The incident occurred before school Monday on Martin Road near Foote Avenue. A similar incident was reported last week in the evening hours on Newland Avenue near Forest Avenue.
