The 2014 candidates for 23rd Congressional District of New York: Congressman Tom Reed (R-Corning) and challenger Martha Robertson (D-Ithaca).

The two candidates running for the state’s 23rd Congressional District, which includes all of Chautauqua County, will hold a total of three debates prior to the November Election.

On Tuesday Congressman Tom Reed’s campaign announced it had agreed to participate three separate debates with Democratic challenger Martha Robertson of Tompkins County in the weeks leading up to Election Day:

  • October 22 – Jamestown Post-Journal Debate
  • October 23 – WETM televised debate
  • October 29 – Olean Times Herald Debate

*Note: Ithaca Journal’s monthly Point-Counterpoint series has featured both candidates weighing in on regional and national issues, and will soon become a bi-weekly feature. Find the print debate series here.

In addition to the three moderated debates, Reed’s campaign says that the Ithaca Journal’s monthly Point-Counterpoint series has also featured both candidates weighing in on regional and national issues, and will soon become a bi-weekly feature leading up to Election Day.
