April 16, 2018 By WRFA Radio Leave a Comment

Sean Carpenter

JAMESTOWN – The search for a missing Jamestown man continues into its fifth day Monday.

City police say 35 year-old Sean Carpenter was last seen walking early Wednesday morning, April 11 around 1:45 a.m. near Pine and First Streets in downtown Jamestown He was reportedly headed home near Superior Street but has not been seen or heard of since.

Family and friends of Carpenter raised concerns about his whereabouts on Thursday, and organized a search Friday morning, which included areas along the Chadakoin River. Police also say they’ve committed resources toward the search along the river, which was lowered to help in the search effort.

However, as of Monday morning Carpenter remains missing and police are treating the incident as suspicious.

Carpenter is described as being 6-feet, 2-inches tall and weighing 180 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes, and was last seen wearing a brown baseball hat, green jacket and gray and red sneakers.

Anyone with information is asked to call JPD at 483-7537, or leave an anonymous tip at 483-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent through the department’s 411 cellphone app.
