October 3, 2013 By WRFA Radio Leave a Comment

MAYVILLE – The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in solving a series of  larcenies that took place in Mayville on Sept. 26.

Investigators say a number of break-ins took place in the area of Elm St. in Mavyille from parked vehicles. In one of the thefts a wallet containing credit cards was stolen from a car. The subject attempted to use the bank card at the M&T Bank ATM machine on South Erie Street in Mayville. The Sheriff’s office is requesting anyone with information on the car larcenies to contact the We Tip Hot Line at 1-800-78-CRIME or the Sheriffs office at 753-4915. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered to anyone who can provide information that would lead to an arrest.
