JAMESTOWN – Jamestown police have arrested two individuals following an investigation to the sales and trafficking of drugs in the city.

According to police, the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and the New York State Police CNET team executed a search warrant Friday morning at 314-316 W. 4th Street. Entry was gained into the apartment with the assistance of the Jamestown Police Departments S.W.A.T. team.

Once inside the residence, investigators located 27 year-old Steven Edmund and 20 year-old Lorilynn Moriarty, both of Jamestown. Investigators also located a quantity of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Both Edmund and Moriarty are being charged with Cr. Possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree and Cr. The two are being held in the city jail and are awaiting arraignment.

The investigation is continuing and additional charges are expected. Anyone with information on the sales and trafficking of narcotics in the Jamestown area is asked to contact the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Anonymous Tip Line at 483-Tips (8477). All calls will be kept strictly confidential.
