JAMESTOWN – WCA Hospital has received some national recognition.
According to a recent media release, WCA has been recognized by the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, or HIMSS, for reaching “stage 6” status on the Society’s Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model. This makes WCA one of only about 700 hospitals across the country to achieve this status.
With the acquisition of the new electronic health record at WCA, patients have ONE electronic health record that can be quickly, efficiently and securely accessed. According to Hospital officials, the multi-million dollar investment enhances the clinical outcomes by allowing real-time access and updates to records as patients navigate throughout the continuum of care.
