WCA Names Randy Swanson as Physician of the Year

JAMESTOWN – WCA Hospital honored the late Dr. Randy Swanson as the Physician of the Year on Wednesday afternoon. The Physician of the Year award is a honor given annually to one outstanding physician in Chautauqua County. It recognizes a physician’s significant practice experience, compassion, academic standing, community involvement and commitment to a healthier community. Swanson, an orthopedic surgeon, was born at WCA Hospital on Sept. 23, 1953, and spent his entire 27-year career at the hospital, until his sudden death on July 18, 2011.
