CELORON – Senator Cathy Young announced that she has secured a $75,000 grant to install a water main in the only portion of the Village that does not currently have municipal water access or fire hydrants.
According to Young, the funding will allow approximately ten families who currently use well water to have access to clean, safe municipal water. The project would also include the installation of two fire hydrants.
Celoron Mayor Scott Schrecengost said he will be in contact with the Jamestown Board of Public Utilities to set up a time frame to install the new water lines and hydrants.
