MORNING NEWS: Canadian-Based Green Energey Company Sets up in Dunkirk

July 26, 2013 By WRFA Leave a Comment

DUNKIRK – A company from Canada is announcing the start up of a new business in Chautauqua County. Brantford, Ontario-based Proquip International will be setting up a new facility in Dunkirk. The Proquip group of companies has been leading the new energy sector in Ontario since 1996. Proquip provides solutions centered on LED lighting and solar technology.

A Solar LED area light was recently installed by Proquip at the front entrance way of the new Science Center on the Jamestown Campus of Jamestown Community College. JCC deemed it had insufficient lighting in that area and utilizing a Proquip Solar LED fixture allowed the concern to be addressed without having to wire and trench a power source, as well as eliminating any electricity costs going forward.

The Proquip group of companies have been in operation since 1996, focusing on LED lighting and Solar power solutions, which has made them a recognized leader in the movement to build Green Communities.
