JAMESTOWN – A city man is in jail awaiting arraignment this morning for allegedly choking a female and holding her against her will.
Officers were called to an apartment at 209 Barrett Ave. at about 11:30 p.m. Monday night for a domestic dispute. After an investigation, officers learned that 36 year old James Spitale allegedly held a female victim to the floor, choking her and refusing to let her get up. Spitale is also accused of threatening to hit the female with a piece of wood. He was arrested and charged with Unlawful imprisonment, menacing and criminal obstruction of breathing. He will be arraigned later today in city court.
