18-Year-Old Dunkirk Man Charged Following Stabbing Incident in Ellicott

ELLICOTT, NY – Ellicott Police say an 18-year-old from Dunkirk has been arrested and charged following an investigation into a stabbing incident that took place late Saturday night in Ellicott.

On Saturday, May 11 just before 11:45 p.m., both Ellicott Police and the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported stabbing at a residence on Town Line Rd.  On the scene officers found that a 38-year-old male had been stabbed multiple times. Officers located the suspect, identified as 18-year-old Alec J. Stanley of Dunkirk, a short time later. He was arrested for 1st degree assault and was taken to the Chautauqua county Jail for arraignment.

The victim was flown to Hamot Hospital where he is being treated for injuries.
