JAMESTOWN – WRFA General Manager Dennis Drew interviews actor Tim Newell, who performs as Jack Benny in the original, one-man play entitled “Mr. Benny.”
Newell is a Westfield native, and former Jamestown Community College student. He will bring his show to the stage of the Scharmann Theater at 8 p.m. on September 27. The play, sponsored by the Robert Lee Scharmann Fund and written by local playwright Mark Humphrey, presents an insight into the life and humor of Jack Benny.
Tickets for the performance are $15 and are available through JCC’s box office, 716.338.1187, or at the theatre door. JCC Faculty Student Association cardholders receive a $3 discount when purchasing tickets in person.
