CELORON – A Celoron man has been arrested following an investigation into the sales and trafficking of methamphetamine.

According to Jamestown Police Captain Robert Samuelson, investigators with the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 37 Smith Ave. in Celoron on Friday, where they located a quantity of methamphetamine, prescription pills, packaging materials and drug paraphernalia.

Police arrested 38 year-old Lindsey Harrison and charged him with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Harrison was also charged with possessing drug paraphernalia and tampering with physical evidence, as he attempted to flush the methamphetamine down the toilet upon entry of the home.

Harrison was arraigned in Ellicott Town Court and was committed to the County Jail in Mayville.

During the investigation police also located and charged a 17-year-old youth with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, after the teen was found to have a narcotic medication without a prescription.

The Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force is comprised of investigators from both the Jamestown Police Department and the Ellicott Police Department.
