Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Seeking Public Help in Locating Stolen Tools

Chautauqua County SheriffPOLAND, NY – The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in finding the person or persons involved with a theft that took place on I-86 during the past weekend.

Sheriff’s investigators say that some time between 5 p.m. Friday, July 22 and 6:30 a.m. Monday, July 25 an unknown subject(s) broke into a construction trailer, located in the median of Interstate 86 in the Town of Poland. Once inside the trailer, several items were stolen, including a large quantity of tools ranging from a generator to various hand tools. The trailer was owned by Cold Spring Construction.

Anyone with information that may be related to this incident is encouraged to report it through WeTip. Tips will remain anonymous and may be eligible for up to a $1000 reward. Tips can be reported by calling 1-800-78-CRIME or by visiting www.wetip.com.
