City Man Jailed for Violating Protection Order, Making Alleged Threats with Paintball Gun

April 24, 2017 By WRFA 1 Comment

JAMESTOWN – A Jamestown man was arrested after allegedly threatening another person with a paintball gun during a domestic incident.

Members of the Jamestown Police Department were called to a home on Chandler St. just before 9 p.m. Saturday for a report of a person with a weapon. An investigation found that 40 year-old Grant Monroe, Jr.  had allegedly gone to the victim’s house and threatened her with a paintball gun. Monroe also had an order of protection to stay away from the victim.

Monroe was arrested on five felony counts, including three counts of criminal contempt, one count of aggravated family offense, and one count of criminal possession of a weapon.  He was also charged with menacing. Monroe was arrested and sent to the city jail to await arraignment.
