BUFFALO – More late tax payments are linked to Congressional Representative Tom Reed, but his office is saying he was not connected to it because he’s no longer involved with the business.
According to the Buffalo News, Elmira city tax records show that Reed’s law firm had a $1,588.38 tax bill due on Sept. 17, but that the bill was not paid until Nov. 7.
It marks the 39th time since 2005 that either Reed or one of his businesses has been late on such payments. A spokesperson for Congressman Reed says the Corning Republican, who’s represented Chautauqua County since the start of this year, is no longer involved in the law firm and has no control of its billing practices.
