MAYVILLE – Two Chautauqua County men are in the county jail without bail following a traffic stop that led to drug charges.
The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office says deputies stopped a vehicle around 6:30 p.m. Friday On E. Main St. in Panama for an alleged traffic violation.
A further investigation found that that the operator of the vehicle, 22-year-old Darian Leech of Sherman, and a passenger, 19-year-old Benjamin Troyer, also of Sherman – were in possession of approximately two grams of methamphetamine, marijuana, drug packaging material and several scales.
Both Leech and Troyer were taken into custody on numerous drug-related charges, was well as a charge of 2nd degree child endangerment.
Leech and Troyer were arraigned and sent to the county jail with no Bail.
