MAYVILLE – The Dunkirk man found guilty of kidnapping a 13-year-old autistic boy from a Walmart in the north county was sentenced Thursday to 16 years in prison.
County District Attorney Patrick Swanson says 30-year-old Samuel Saeli received his sentence after being convicted of second-degree kidnapping and second-degree kidnapping as a sexually motivated felony.
Saeli kidnapped a 13-year-old autistic boy from the Fredonia Wal-Mart parking lot in August 2016. An investigation found the victim reportedly entered Saeli’s vehicle and left the parking lot but was reunited with his family about 40 minutes later near Cushing Street in Fredonia.
