MAYVILLE – A total of four jurors have now been selected for the upcoming trial of one of the four men accused of a home invasion and murder of a Frewsburg-area couple in the Spring of 2013.
Jury selection in the first-degree murder trial involving 34 year-old Davide Coggins began on Tuesday and continued Wednesday in county court in Mayville, with more jurors being selected.
Coggins and three other men are accused of driving from Elmira NY to the home of Gordon and Joyce Skinner on Wheeler Hill Rd. in the Town of Carroll on April 17, 2013, where they then allegedly tortured and killed the couple before setting the home on fire. Two of the suspects have already reached a plea deal with the DA’s office. A fourth suspect will go to trail early next year.
Jury selection is scheduled to continue Thursday and Friday.
