PORTLAND – A Fredonia man has been arrested following a weekend stabbing incident.
The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that deputies were called to the area of Webster Rd and Rt. 380 in the Town of Portland early Sunday morning for a report of a stabbing.
Upon investigation it was determined that 30 year-old Loren Johnson had gotten into a altercation with another individual and during the altercation had allegedly stabbed the individual with a knife. Johnson then fled the scene prior to deputies arrival.
Johnson was located a short time later and taken into custody without incident. While being placed into custody Johnson was found to be in possession of a small quantity of marijuana. He was charged with Assault 2nd and unlawful possession of marijuana. He was arraigned in the Town of Portland court and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail.
