MAYVILLE –The award for the best tasting water in Chautauqua County goes to Fredonia. The village won the award during the annual water tasting contest that took place last weekend in the Chautauqua Mall. Fredonia draws its water from a surface water reservoir. The City of Jamestown placed second and also took the top spot in the groundwater category. Fredonia will now go on to represent Chautauqua County in the regional competition to be held in Rochester in July.
