Humane Society Investigates Thrift Store Burglary

December 30, 2013 By WRFA Radio 1 Comment

Chautauqua County Humane Society LogoWEST ELLICOTT – The investigation continues into the burglary of the Chautauqua County Humane Society’s Second Chances Thrift Store on Fairmount Ave. The individual(s) responsible broke into the store between Dec. 21 and 22 and stole that day’s total receipts/cash.

The humane society is asking the community to assist us to help spread the word in hopes that someone with information will come forward.

Anyone with information leading to the capture of those responsible are asked to call the Town of Ellicott Police Department at (716) 665-7083.

According to an organization spokesman, all proceeds from our Second Chances Thrift Store go to benefit CCHS and help the organization keep the lights on for the animals year-round. Money and resources are especially tight during the winter months as hundreds of animals need to be sheltered from the cold.
