Long-time local religious leader, Father Dennis Mende, died Wednesday night in Jamestown.
Father Mende was a Roman Catholic priest for over 37 years, with over 20 of those years at Holy Apostles Church in Jamestown. He had recently been given the additional responsibility of pastor of St. James Parish in July.
The Holy Apostles Church office says the Diocese of Buffalo will be handling funeral arrangements.
