Kevin Ziemba
JAMESTOWN – Jamestown Public Schools has named its new finance director.
On Thursday afternoon, the Jamestown School board held a special meeting to appoint Kevin Ziemba as the district’s new Director of Finance & Business Affairs. Ziemba will replace Dale Weatherlow, Assistant Superintendent for Administration, who is retiring at the end of this month.
According to a release from the district, Ziemba brings 24 years of experience to Jamestown. He previously served as Director of Finance and Administrative Services for the Cheektowaga-Sloan Union Free School District. He also served three years with Erie 1 BOCES as a shared school business administrator for both the Cheektowaga-Sloan and the Cleveland Hill Union Free School Districts.
Ziemba’s primary role in Jamestown will be to over see finances for the district. He will also play a key role in helping to develop and track the district’s annual budget.
