JAMESTOWN – It’s back to school today for hundreds of children in the Jamestown School District with half a day of classes being scheduled for Thursday morning.
All students in grades K-12 are required to report to class on Thursday and will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m.
The first day of classes for UPK students and the first full day for all other students will be on Friday.
A reminder that Jamestown High School students should report to their homerooms by 8 a.m., Elementary school start time is 8:20 a.m., and Middle school doors will open to students at 8:25 a.m.
District bus service will also begin Thursday and motorists are reminded to follow the state’s traffic laws when it comes to school buses, including coming to a complete stop and waiting whenever a school bus is also stopped to pick up students.
Students who did not receive a homeroom assignment can call the School Counseling Office at 483-4366 or look at the homeroom lists posted around JHS on the first day.
School will be dismissed at 3 p.m. beginning on Friday.
