JAMESTOWN – Students at Jamestown Community College will see their tuition go up during the 2014-2015 school year.
The JCC Board of Trustees earlier this week approved the nearly $35.4 million budget for next school year, which includes a spending increase of 2.4 percent. To help offset the increase, student tuition will be going up by $95 a semester, which equals a 4.5 percent increase.
This year, student tuition was $2,110 per semester for full-time, in-state residents and $4,220 per semester for students who’s residence is listed out-of-state.
The approved budget also includes a state aid amount of $2,497 per FTE, which officials say is up slightly from last year.
JCC’s new fiscal year begins September 1, 2014.
