JAMESTOWN – The Tunisian flag has joined the flags of all nations represented by Jamestown Community College’s international students. Akram Khanfir, Raoudha Msaddek, and Walid Rhali recently brought their national flag to the college, which will hang in the Student Union on the Jamestown Campus with the flags of other international students.
JCC’s new Tunisian students are supported by the Tunisia Community College Scholarship Program (TCCSP). The program is designed to build the workforce capacity of students from throughout Tunisia by providing U.S.-based training and practical experience in leadership positions, community engagement, and in their professional fields to contribute to economic development in Tunisia. At JCC, the students will pursue certificates in industrial equipment technology and machine tool technology.
The students arrived prior to the August 24 start of the fall semester to participate in JCC’s intensive summer English Language Immersion Program.
