LAKEWOOD – A Lakewood man who police say was under investigation for rape has additionally been charged with possessing child pornography.
The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office on Friday announced the arrest of 38-year-old Jeffrey L. Shriver. The investigation began after a victim came forward to police resulting in the first-degree rape charge Sept. 13.
The sheriff said he could not provide further information regarding the incident that led to the rape charge because the investigation was ongoing.
As a result of a subsequent investigation, Shriver was also charged with four counts of possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child.
