JAMESTOWN – The James Prendergast Library will close at 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 7, to set up for its 33rd annual two-day book sale. No regular library services will be available during the event.
The sale will be held Friday, June 8 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, June 9 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to raise money to buy new library materials.
Sale books on the main floor are divided into categories such as business, health and fiction. Collectors’ items, sets, and “like new” books are displayed in the Special Room to the left of the library entrance. Non-book items such as DVDs and CDs are for sale upstairs in the art gallery, which is accessible by elevator.
