We bring you the forum hosted by State Senator George Borrello on nuclear energy that discusses the benefits of that form of energy as well as why the City of Dunkirk could be a good location to place a nuclear energy power plant. The forum was held at SUNY Fredonia on June 30, 2026.

    I once favored nuclear power–no longer. The infrastructure is too expensive, it requires a lot of water, and they have never solved the problem of dangerous waste–it‘s much too polluting. Renewables are the wave of the future. We should be focusing on that instead (the rest of the world is).
