[LISTEN] Community Matters – Rick Huber Discusses Drug Addiction in Chautauqua County

March 13, 2015 By WRFA Radio 1 Comment

JAMESTOWN, NY – Originally airing Thursday, March 12, 2015.

WRFA public affairs director Jason Sample talks with Rick Huber, CEO of the Mental Health Association in Chautauqua County, about the rise in drug use and addiction in Chautauqua County during in recent years.

A largely peer-operated service organization, the Mental Health Organization is designed to offer support and treatment options for people of all ages battling addiction.

Huber offers insight on not only the number of people battling drug addiction and the amount of money that is involved with fueling addiction, but also what can be done to ensure proper treatment is available to addicts, as well as what needs to be done to help reduce the addiction numbers in Chautauqua County.

If you or someone you know is addicted to drugs or alcohol and needs help, contact the Mental Health Assocation at (716) 661-3094 or the New York State OASAS Hotline at 1-877-846-7369.
