Chautauqua County will once again receive some positive national media exposure starting in January. Last August, Jack Link’s Major League Fishing – a program on the Outdoor Channel – chose Chautauqua Lake to hold its six-day General Tire Summit Cup competition. The event features seven episodes, the first of which will premiere at 9 p.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2013. A total of six episodes will air throughout the following weeks, with the Championship Round airing on the NBC network on February 9, 2013 at 1 p.m. and re-airing on the Outdoor Channel the following week.
It will be the second nationally televised network program featuring Chautauqua County in less than a month. Last weekends Progressive Skating and Gymnastics Spectacular was recorded and will also air on NBC on January 19.
