MORNING NEWS: Fredonia Village Election is Today

FREDONIA – The 2013 village election season is underway, with the Village of Fredonia set to hold its election today. In today’s election, four people will be running for two open village board seats. They are Phyllis Jones and Susan Forrester-Mackay – both democrats – and Michael Vinciguerra and Mary Jane Starks – both republicans. David A. Prince is also running unopposed for village justice. The polls in Fredonia will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and voters are asked to go to Wheelock School, at 75 Chestnut St. to vote in the election.

Election results for Fredonia voters will be available after the close of polls on Monday at www.votechautauqua.com.

All other village elections will be taking place next week, Tuesday, March 19. Villages that will hold elections include Bemus Point, Brocton, Cassadaga, Cherry Creek, Falconer, Forestville, Lakewood, Panama, Sherman, Silver Creek, Sinclairville and Westfield.
