JAMESTOWN – With a short month of December in store for the Jamestown City Council, lawmakers will hold their first work session of the month tonight in city hall.
Council members will begin meeting at 7 p.m. tonight when the council’s Finance committee meets. During the meeting, lawmakers will discuss the sale of a piece of property on Monroe St. in the city to a local realty company. The committee will also review a resolution to allow a capitol project at Jamestown Community College’s Hamilton Collegiate Center to move forward.
Both the public safety committee and public works committee will also meet tonight at 7:15 p.m. and the council’s full work session will begin at 7:30 p.m. All meetings will take place on the 4th floor of City Hall and are open to the public.
The council typically has its voting session on the fourth Monday of each month, but with that being Christmas Eve and the following Monday being New Year’s Eve, the regular voting session for this month is Monday, December 17 – two weeks from today.
