A faculty member of Jamestown Community College is being announced as a contributor to a new college textbook that deals with post-secondary education via technology.
JCC is announcing that political science professor Gregory Rabb has co-authored a chapter in the book “A Global Perspective On Opportunities and Obstacles to Development.” The book was published in late 2012 and features case studies and analyses written by people involved in relevant projects around the world.
In one of the book’s chapters, Rabb and two other educators outlined the use of simulations to enhance teaching and learning strategies in community colleges.
Rabb has been a member of the JCC faculty since 1986 and currently serves as JCC’s global education coordinator. He received the State University of New York Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2011. In addition to his work at JCC, Rabb is also the president of the Jamestown City Council.
