MORNING NEWS: Lawson Boat Center, County Historical Society Host Presentation Tonight in Bemus Point

August 21, 2012 By WRFA Radio Leave a Comment

BEMUS POINT – The Chautauqua County Historical Society will continue its 2012 programming series tonight with a presentation at the Lawson Boating Heritage Center, located on Chautauqua Lake at 73 Lakeside Dr., Bemus Point.

The Lawson Center opened earlier this year with a mission to preserve, display and highlight as much of Chautauqua Lake’s boating history as possible. In an effort to help promote the boat center, the Chautauqua County Historical Society is inviting the public to attend a presentation on the facility, to be delivered by David S. Lawson, Jr. A tour of the facility will be given afterward.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. tonight and is free and open to members of the historical society and the general public. For additional information call 386-3355 or 326-2977.
