MORNING NEWS: Man Connected to North County Fatal Auto Accident Comes Forward

November 13, 2012 By WRFA Radio Leave a Comment

SILVER CREEK – The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s office and the Chautauqua County District Attorney’s office are both reporting that the man wanted in connection to a fatal auto accident in the north county has now been found. Last Friday afternoon, 22 year old Jeremiah Burgess of Silver Creek turned himself into authorities. Burgess – of 22 Porter St., Silver Creek – appeared in Chautauqua County District Attorney David Foley’s office with his attorney and gave his full cooperation. Burgess also talked with investigators from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and provided a statement about the incident.

Authorities were seeking Burgess following a crash Thursday on Route 5 that killed 22 year old Jeremy Long of Silver Creek. Long was a passenger in what authorities believe to be Burgess’s car. No charges have been filed at this time and the investigation into the incident is continuing.
