MORNING NEWS: Two More Olympians Added to December Event at Ice Arena

August 15, 2012 By WRFA Radio Leave a Comment

JAMESTOWN – Residents in Jamestown will have an opportunity to see a variety of Olympic athletes up close and in person later this year. Last month, the Jamestown Savings Bank Arena announced that several Olympians – including members of the 2012 Women’s Gold Medal Gymnastics Team – will be in town on December 15 as par of NBC’s Progressive Skating and Gymnastics Spectacular.

Among those slated to appear and perform are 2012 Olympic gold medalists Gabrielle (Gabby) Douglas, Alexandra (Aly) Raisman, and Jordyn Wieber, 2012 Olympic all-around bronze medalist Danell Leyva, 2012 U.S. all-around champion John Orozco, and 2008 Olympic all-around champion Nastia Liukin. Yesterday, officials announced that Olympians Jonathan Horton and Jake Dalton have also been added to the cast.

The program will not only take place in Jamestown, but it will also be tapped and broadcast in January on NBC.

Tickets to see this event live are on sale now and are available through extremetix at the Jamestown Savings Bank Arena Box Office, by phone at 716-484-2624 or online at jamestownarena.com.
