Movies at the Reg Continues Wednesday Night with ‘The Hateful Eight’

February 10, 2016 By WRFA Radio Leave a Comment

hateful-eight-russell-jackson-tarantinoJAMESTOWN – Quentin Tarantino’s ‘The Hateful Eight’ will show February 10 at 7pm at Reg Lenna Center for The Arts.

The film stars Kurt Russell, Samuel L. Jackson and Best Supporting Actress nominee Jennifer Jason Leigh. Set after the end of the Civil War, a stagecoach hurtles through the wintry Wyoming landscape. Bounty hunter John Ruth (Russell) and his fugitive Daisy Domergue (Leigh) race towards the town of Red Rock, where Ruth will bring Domergue to justice. Along the road, they encounter Major Marquis Warren, a former Union soldier turned infamous bounty hunter, and Chris Mannix, a renegade who claims to be the town’s new Sheriff. Losing their lead on the blizzard, Ruth, Domergue, Warren and Mannix seek refuge at Minnie’s Haberdashery, a stagecoach stopover. When they arrive, they are greeted by four unfamiliar faces. As the storm overtakes the mountainside, our eight travelers come to learn they may not make it to Red Rock after all.

The Hateful Eight is rated R and is 187 minutes long.

Movies @ The Reg continue with Best Actress nominee Saiorse Ronan in the Best Picture nominee, Brooklyn on February 13 at 8 p.m., Best Actress nominee Cate Blanchett and Best Supporting Actress nominee Rooney Mara in Carol on Feb. 17 at 7 p.m. and Best Actress nominee Brie Larson in Best Picture nominee Room, on February 20 at 8 p.m.
