POMFRET – Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies have released the name of the victim of Thursday night’s fatal one-car crash in the Town of Pomfret.
Deputies say 28-year-old Philip Cunningham of Fredonia was the driver of the vehicle that crashed into a ravine on Ellicott Road shortly after 10:15 p.m. that evening. An investigation determined that Cunningham had lost control of the vehicle and traveled down a ravine.
Cunningham suffered fatal injuries caused by the crash.
